Goodu Foodu is a home cooking channel on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, and this website, goodufoodu.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: you can read every recipe without an account, we only count visits if you say yes, and we never sell anything about you.

Visiting this website
There are no accounts, logins or comment forms. Like every website, our host, Vercel, receives the technical data your browser sends with each request (IP address, browser type, the page asked for) to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. We don't use that data to identify you. Our fonts are served from goodufoodu.com itself, so loading a page sends nothing to font providers.
Cookies and analytics
The first time you visit, we ask whether we may use Google Analytics. If you say no, or don't answer, Google Analytics is never loaded. If you say yes, Google Analytics stores cookies and tells us things like which recipes are read, how people find the site (for example from YouTube or a search), the rough region and the device type. We use it only to decide what to cook and write next. Advertising features stay off. Recipe videos
Recipe pages show a picture of the video. The YouTube player only loads when you press play, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). From then on, YouTube handles what happens in the player under the Google Privacy Policy. Links to our YouTube, Instagram and TikTok pages take you to those platforms, whose own policies apply.
Our publishing tools and your platform data
Goodu Foodu runs its own private publishing tools. They connect to YouTube through the YouTube API Services (and, where we connect them, to TikTok and Instagram through their official APIs) to manage Goodu Foodu's own accounts only. The tools are not offered to the public; the only people who sign in to them are the Goodu Foodu team.
When a team member connects an account, the tools access:
- basic account details: channel or profile name, ID and picture;
- the videos we upload, with their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, privacy and schedule settings;
- comments we post on our own videos;
- view, watch-time and audience statistics for our own channel and videos.
We use this only to upload and schedule our videos, post and manage our own comments, and read how our videos perform. Sign-in tokens and this data are stored on our own server, which is not reachable from the public internet. We don't sell it, share it, use it for advertising, or transfer it to anyone, and we don't access other people's channels or viewer accounts.
Goodu Foodu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
By using these tools you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke the tools' access to a Google account at any time on the Google security settings page, and to TikTok or Instagram in that app's settings under connected or authorised apps. Stored data is kept while an account is connected; after a disconnection or a deletion request we delete the stored tokens and account data within 30 days.
Deleting your data
To delete data connected to Goodu Foodu:
- Website analytics: open and choose “No thanks” to delete the cookies. To delete analytics data already collected, email us.
- Publishing tools: revoke access in your Google, TikTok or Instagram settings (links above), then email reallygoodufoodu@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion” and the account name. We delete the stored data within 30 days and confirm by email.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the UK GDPR, Thailand's PDPA or US state laws), you can ask to see, correct or delete data we hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Email us and we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Big changes, such as a new kind of data, will be noted on this page. See also our Terms of Use.
